The policy
- Every material correction is logged. Factual errors in a claim, figure, limit or date are recorded here with the date they were fixed — not silently overwritten.
- Attributed, not anonymous. The Corrections Editor owns each fix; the change is accountable to a named human, like every byline.
- Primary-source first. We re-check against the original filing or registry before amending, and note what the primary text actually says.
- Clarifications are separate from corrections. A clarification sharpens wording that was defensible but could mislead; a correction fixes something that was wrong. Both are on the record.
